Jumble Sale

This was one of the first planned group carvings. Before this group carvings had just happened. I learnt a lot from this carving, such as:

  • You can only put figures between cracks in the wood. If you put a figure over the crack, it shows.
  • Variety of shapes around the legs is important because they could become very similar.
  • I should have thought about varying the height of the figures as they all follow the original wood surface and look a bit boring.

I have put these into practice in later work.
