Drowning Not Waving

I belonged to Yorkshire Sculptors Group who had a show at Scarborough Art Gallery in 2012/3. The theme was the WW1 bombardment of Scarborough which included the attack on the fishing fleet in 1916 when the fishermen where ordered off their trawlers, so a German U bout could sink them. Fishermen tended not to have learnt to swim, so my piece is Drowning, not Waving. All the men were saved.   If the fisherman looks like me, it is because I am the only person who is always there when I am wanted as a model, and is will to have measurements taken from my face.
